Trakrio mail connector

The connector is a small program that lets the Trakrio extension read your mailbox (IMAP), just like Thunderbird. It powers “Email tracking”: spotting acknowledgements, interview invitations, rejections and offers, and showing your conversation with each recruiter.

Your emails stay with you

  • It runs on your computer: neither your credentials nor your emails are sent to Trakrio or to the AI.
  • Your password is stored in your system’s keychain (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • It only reads: no email is sent, moved, deleted or marked as read.
  • Only the Trakrio extension can start it.

The connector will be available for download soon.

Install

  1. Windows: run the downloaded file. If Windows shows a warning, choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
  2. macOS and Linux: open a terminal and run cd ~/Downloads && chmod +x trakrio-mail-* && ./trakrio-mail-* --install
    On Linux, a Secret Service compatible keychain (GNOME Keyring, KWallet) is required.
  3. Then go back to Trakrio, “Account” tab, “Email tracking” section, and click “I’ve installed it, check again”.

To uninstall it, run it with the option --uninstall.
